Greenwich Little League
Preparing the Next Generation of Champions
Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again. That’s the way life is, with a new game every day, and that’s the way baseball is. ~ Bob Feller
Greenwich Little League teaches the fundamentals of baseball and softball to boys and girls so that they can build skills and develop a love of the game.
We offer the following programs:
- Tee Ball: Combined girls and boys ages 5 and 6 (born on or before December 31, 2012)
- Pee Wee: Softball and baseball for boys and girls under the age of 8.
- Minors: Softball and baseball for boys and girls under the age of 10.
- Majors: Softball and baseball for boys and girls under the age of 12.
Our league season begins with practices in late-March, with opening day usually held the last weekend in April. League play continues through the middle of June. All Star tournaments are held in late June and run through July.
All Star teams are selected through a blind process. Every coach at each level is provided the opportunity to nominate players from their division. Coaches then select 12 players from the nominated group of players and submit their blind ballot to a Greenwich Athletic Association (GAA) board member. When their is not unanimous agreement on the final roster, as per the ballot process, a GAA board member will facilitate a discussion to determine the final players selected to the roster.
